You found Rubik Boy!

After creating his famous cube in 1974, the Hungarian sculptor and professor Erno Rubik decided to make a puppet with a body of a human, and with a Rubik cube as a head. This puppet, called Rubik Boy, later turned alive and became a real boy, just like Pinocchio in the famous fairy tale. Rubik Boy has memorized all 43+ quintillion permutations of the cube, and can solve any scrambling in just 2-3 seconds. This makes him the fastest Rubik cube solver of all time, twice as fast as anyone else in the world. Even though he likes most the classic 3x3x3 cube, Rubik Boy also enjoys playing with its predecessor - Larry Nichols' 2x2x2 cube, which is similar in nature, just a bit simpler to solve.

Larry Nichols patented his 2x2x2 cube in 1972, just 2 years before Erno Rubik patented his. Nichols' cube was held together via magnets, unlike Rubik's, which was held together via interlocking mechanisms.
